The Mad Hatter was inspired by the American ‘speakeasies’ of the 1920s: clandestine pubs that sprung up like mushrooms as a result of Prohibition. Sale and consumption of alcohol was forbidden at the time, so they served illegally distilled alcohol (moonshine) in hidden bars. The Mad Hatter is also untraceable to the general public. Only you and your guests are aware of its location and the way to get in... Once inside, you will find yourself in a unique, warm setting reminiscent of the jazz clubs of yesteryear. Did you see The Great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio? Then you will undoubtedly remember this scene.
